Meet Noel Klein-Reesink, the founder of EKN Footwear, established in 2012 with a deep commitment to sustainability. His journey began with a transformative conversation with a cotton farmer in Burkina Faso, about the benefits of organic farming. Collaborating with a former Adidas designer, Noel immersed himself in every aspect of shoe production, from sourcing materials to understanding factory processes in Portugal. EKN Footwear uses plant-based dyes and ensures that their vegan leather tanning process results in water safe enough for irrigation.
